Sarasvati massage originates from Ayurveda. In Devanagari script, it is the combination of the words Ayur, meaning life, and Veda, meaning science and knowledge. It is a wisdom and technique originating in India, practiced in Asia as "non-conventional medicine". In Europe, Ayurvedic massages have become widespread as a wellness practice. Ayurveda draws its sources from the Vedas, that is to say, from the collection of sacred texts of ancient India. Its principles are primarily derived from the use of natural plants and the observation of the human body. The Sarasvatti massage This technique takes its name from the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, Saraswati. The mention of this goddess indicates that it was initially reserved for women, the cradle of life, however there is no religious connotation for the practitioner. The Sarasvati massage is a relaxing abdominal massage. The gentle manipulation of the abdomen provides a great feeling of well-being. This gentle, deep and comforting massage allows for relaxation of the abdominal area. However, it has a more preventive than curative effect. It helps to detoxify the liver and free the stomach by promoting the elimination of toxins and fluids. It helps to eliminate abdominal tension related to stress, and is particularly recommended for women whose dominant dosha is Vata, who are more prone to nervousness. It also optimizes the functioning of internal organs, particularly the reproductive system. It is also recommended for women to relieve pain during menstruation. It requires a high quality of listening to avoid any painful sensation for the person being massaged. What about Sarasvati massage for men? Although this massage is primarily for women, it is also very beneficial for the male population. The benefits for men are mainly in the area of tension and toxin release, digestion, abdominal relaxation and well-being by harmonizing all areas as part of a complete body massage. _________ Gao Mata massage This Hindu massage is linked to the symbolism of the sacred cow, Gao Mata in Hindi, which literally means "Mother Cow". In India, the cow is seen as a "Universal Mother," who, in her great gentleness and generosity, nourishes not only her offspring but also every creature in the universe. This "maternal" quality is revered as the highest form of giving in India. This massage directly alludes to the nourishing udders of sacred cows, also called Aghnya, literally "that which cannot be killed." It is therefore a massage intended for the chest area. It is important to know that regular breast massage helps maintain the natural tone of the bust, preserve the shape of the breasts and also slightly increase volume when breast mass is very low. This massage takes 5 to 6 minutes to perform in a spa, institute or other massage practice; it can be done following several massages, so feel free to offer it. For daily self-massage, perform it in 2 minutes flat and it will prove very effective. After a few days you will start to notice a difference in skin quality and after a few weeks the results will start to be visible in terms of tone and shape. Practice Gao Mata self-massage in the evening after removing your bra; it's the perfect time to release tension and de-stress before going to bed. This Gao Mata massage can be practiced during the breastfeeding period. During the breastfeeding period, it is a valuable aid in unclogging milk ducts and relieving tension due to increased breast size. It is also highly recommended after breastfeeding to prevent tissue sagging and to combat the so-called "washcloth-shaped" breasts. Unfortunately, in general we can only deplore the lack of practice of this massage. Because while the breast is seen as the true symbol of femininity and fertility, outside of the couple or specific medical needs, touching it remains taboo in the West, due to the sensual and sexual dimension we attribute to it. In fact, Western women are quite timid or even totally closed off, with 80% of them being reluctant to work on this area of their body. It should also not be forgotten that nowadays, breasts are confined and compressed for hours in aesthetically pleasing bras, but often totally uncomfortable and not respecting natural anatomy. But what is the breast? It is a gland housed in a fatty mass that rests on two muscles, the pectoralis minor and major, supported by ligaments and skin. Its support and shape depend solely on the balance between the tone of the suspensory ligaments, the neck muscles, the skin & the volume of the breast. Tensions also accumulate in these areas, making it necessary to release tension and toxins, as well as to revitalize lymphatic and blood circulation. Furthermore, it is strongly advised against wearing a bra while sleeping; this does not combat tissue sagging, quite the contrary, it contributes to it because the muscles holding the breasts in the absence of stimulation sag and no longer support the breasts. On the contrary, it is even advisable to try to stay a few hours a day without a bra or with a very low-support bra such as a bralette, or to wear a very close-fitting strappy top which will have the effect of very slightly supporting the breasts while avoiding discomfort due to the total absence of support. Why massage your breasts and free them from wearing a bra as soon as you get home? According to recent studies, wearing a bra makes the breasts lazy; it "puts Cooper's ligaments to sleep" by causing them to lose their tone. Cooper's ligaments fight against the harmful effects of Earth's gravity and support the chest. Finally, the direct friction of the breasts against the fabric of T-shirts, Polos, Blouses and other clothing worn on the upper body micro-stimulates the epidermis and vascular pedicles, the breasts are naturally better drained at the venous and lymphatic level. Finally, regarding the question "Can I perform a Gao Mata massage on a man?" The answer is yes, although this massage is primarily for women, it is possible to perform all of these maneuvers, with the exception of maneuver no. 5, on men. Depending on the muscle mass of the man being massaged, the pressure may range from 2 to 3. The benefits for men are mainly in the area of releasing tension and toxins, muscle relaxation and well-being by harmonizing all areas as part of a complete body massage.
