Relaxing back massage is a classic wellness treatment. Back pain affects one in two French people, usually on a recurring basis. Therefore, taking care of this area is essential to feeling better physically. Several factors contribute to this chronic pain: Posture problems Sedentary lifestyle Repetitive tasks Lack of physical activity Stress The workload Physically demanding jobs, etc… In fact, this back treatment, which combines speed and efficiency, may be a valuable ally in the fight against all these ailments. This treatment is carried out in 3 distinct phases: The dry phase allows the muscle mass to relax. The exfoliating phase helps to purify the pores. The oleation phase, meanwhile, hydrates and relaxes the body and mind. The relaxation phase: This dry phase is carried out over a towel or blanket. There are several reasons for this practice, firstly to obtain the right pressure according to the body size of the person being massaged. Working without oil allows for higher pressure levels because there is no slippage like with oil. We work through a textile to keep the person being massaged warm and prevent them from getting cold. Massage provides a state of relaxation for the person being massaged, which can be rewarding and then quickly cool down. Cold causes involuntary muscle contractions, which is antithetical to the desired relaxing result. However, for better understanding and visibility of the maneuvers, the dry phase will be described to you step by step in full view. The purifying phase: Get yourself a quantity of body scrub product of your choice. Ensure that the product is suitable for the skin type of the person being treated. First, place the scrub in a suitable container that allows for easy and quick handling, ideally a wide-rimmed bowl. Apply a sufficient quantity of the mixture to the area to be purified. The ideal pressure will be: Level 1 if the person being massaged has sensitive skin level 2 if the person being massaged has normal skin Finally, level 3 if the person being massaged has rough skin. Check with him that the pressure level is correct; he should not feel any discomfort on his skin. The hydrating and relaxing phase: Prepare a massage oil adapted to the needs of the person being massaged. Always opt for gentle, natural or organic oils. Apply the oil generously to deeply rehydrate the skin. The skin always absorbs much more after a cleansing phase. These 3 phases are complementary and allow for a very complete back workout. These steps are also followed by a mini wake-up phase at the end of the treatment. This treatment is traditionally performed in 45 minutes, but it is also possible to have it done in an express version in 30 minutes. It is not recommended to remove maneuvers in order to reduce the duration, as this would impair the effectiveness of this treatment. If you have little time, the best solution will be to speed up the pace of the treatment or possibly to perform each maneuver only twice, instead of the 3 times initially planned in this protocol. It is recommended to receive this back treatment at least once a month for optimal results.
